Tamiya has announced the subject of the next 1:32 fighter aircraft kit will be the F4U-1 Corsair ‘Birdcage’ version. It’s a fabulous subject with masses of modelling potential and we will, of course, be giving it heaps of page-space in TMMI! Shown here are some CAD images of key areas of the model, but please note, the details are subject to change.

This very desirable and should go down well> At least as far as I am concerned! Very excited!

  2. Bill Simpson USA says:

Smart move to start with the early birdcage model. This gives them a chance for additional kits of different variants ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) The quality if like the past may warrent the price hopefully

  3. Guy says:

Looks great all though im not a lover of the bird cage hope there is later marks to come.

  4. Jon Kunatz says:

Thanks for the Spitfire, Mustang and now the Corsair. To make a few suggestions, The P-38 lightning, Hawker Typhoon/Tempest, maybe some Russian planes like the Lagg 5 and 7 might be nice too.
